Today’s report from Ben Davidson features a ‘heart on the Sun’ – gorgeous 💓, news of earthquakes off the West Coast of the United States, an update on storm systems in the East Pacific off the coast of Mexico and Hawaii, news of a particularly strong typhoon in the West Pacific, a study on how geomagnetic storms can increase wind speed and trigger colder temperatures in colder parts of the planet, research on how geomagnetic storms trigger Arctic lightning and how proton storms affect the global electrical circuit – Ben contextualises this in the issue of climate change, and notes how such storms and electrical interferences are a scarcely-known contributor.

Ben and Stephanie Buchanan launch the Catastrophism Research Association and Havenbound tomorrow, and Ben shares more details of this in his report.

We look forward to the launch of these initiatives, which will hopefully benefit many.
