Please read below a comment I wrote in response to @LouGreenwood’s post on X in which I share what I have come to understand with the help of soul friends, God/All That Is/Source, and from direct experience as the way in which illusions of separation and the way we experience life are created by the body and functions within consciousness such as what are known as ‘samskaras’, which are imprints on our consciousness formed from experience, and which ‘clog’ our energy centres and ‘localised consciousness’ as we go through life and which contribute towards an immersion in the illusion of separation and this world. The more experience and identity we form, the more immersed we become.
I am not sharing this as an intellectual exercise: this is about relief of suffering, and I have found awareness of these mechanisms to be healing and transformative; they have helped me overcome many challenges, as have other important influences such as the input of others and God/Source/All That Is.
We could very likely relieve and remedy most of our psychological, emotional, and behavioural issues with this awareness and approach.
Lou’s Post:
We – as a species – face a chasm carved from the consequence of confronting a concept:
> Mind is not matter
As things evolve things like self-awareness, self-reference, self-reflection and theory of mind develop.
This may lead to a conceptual inflection point – that mind and matter are separate and “reality” is some kind of intersection of these domains (among others).
That seems to suggest something like the idea that:
> “Reality is whatever the mind can convince the body, within the constraints placed by the body’s “awareness” of it’s environmental and sensorial inputs”
Perhaps configuration of one’s body is the constraint – and perhaps this is a fundamental purpose of “selfhood”?
A mind achnored by a moment of “one-among-many-ness”?

“I have given this much thought over the last few months.
The body is a sheath between “two worlds”; when the body ‘dies’, the sheath falls away and we are aware again of our true nature as a soul and part of the Oneness of God/Source/All That Is, although I think the truth is separation is an illusion.
I think we intuitively choose our parents from the non-physical as a reflection of our interests and karmas from other lives. I have seen and sensed how this might work in some respects. I think intuition on the other side is such that thought is no-longer linear and sequential, and soul intelligence or insight is known and experienced within each moment – we have access to ‘the field’. This is a very difficult thing to describe, but I am feeling it as I am writing this post. I am sensing this process.
Seth, of ‘Seth Speaks’, shared something about the body representing the “personality structure”, and this is so to in two very interesting ways: it represents to an extent the interests and intentions of the soul, but also represents the limitations you mention as a result of physicality, impermanence of the body (changes), etc. And I am not speaking of appearances, I am speaking of how it feels to be in a body – one which we inherit from a casserole dish of influences and karmas of our parents, but again, one to which we are drawn intuitively as a result of our own interests and karmas. We have and experience bodies, which although might not seem as such, are actually representations of ‘happenings’ within consciousness.
I am getting strong confirmation from this from our soul friends.
The depth of intuitive input in this process is difficult to articulate; it is beyond language and very complex, but beautiful and profound, and underwritten by much love, as I have found. As I write this, I am being taken to a perspective I had a few weeks ago where I felt I could sense to an extent God’s influence in everything it creates, and its’ profound love for all details – great and small.
Writing this reminds me of a post I drafted a few weeks ago where I intended to put a dual-consciousness theory shared by @OldVetSymposium in the context of karmas, samskaras, and other consciousness influences. This theory is accurate in the sense the human brain generates/sustains/filters a micro-consciousness which is ultimately sustained by ‘field/God consciousness/awareness’ – it never ‘escapes’ its’ influence – and which acts as an operating system of sorts for perceptual/experiential processing, yet fundamentally separation is still an illusion. I hope this makes sense. Basically, the brain produces ‘its’ own’ activity to an extent, but ultimately is never separate from God consciousness and by this is sustained.
What causes this sense of duality are samskaras/karmas (experience of action/being in this life).
Samskaras are imprints on our consciousness formed of experience. This is a well-known concept in Buddhism and Hinduism. Anandamayi Ma, an Indian saint, once said samskaras have this effect, and I know this to be true. ‘Thought forms’ would be a possible equivalent. I am sure there are other ways of describing this function in the other systems of thought.
As we go through life, our chakras and other energy systems become more ‘clogged’ with samskaras. This is why Reiki and other forms of energy healing are so effective. I know this from much experience of having to unclog my chakras and consciousness due to various challenges etc. I know how effective samskara-perception and cleansing is for our consciousness.
Anyway, the sense of dual-consciousness is as such due to our immersion on this plane and experience and the karmas/samskaras we gather along the way. The more immersed we become, the more separate we feel from our ‘true nature’ and ‘the field’.
I love your posts, Lou. Enjoy the rest of your day.”
