I came across an article featured on CNN Weather yesterday regarding AMOC decline and concern about a cold area over Greenland and Iceland in the region of the subpolar gyre. This area has been highlighted by researchers as an area of concern; one which likely gestures at a weakening in the current. As stated before, geomagnetic field decline is likely contributing in some way towards this decline due to the impact of potentially increasing levels of radiation. Solar activity and oceanic current activity are linked, as claimed in scientific research shared in Space Weather News videos which you can find in the Resources section for Planetary Changes on this website.
It is heartening to see AMOC decline feature as a story for a major news network. Hopefully other news outlets will also take interest.
